Webinar 1: Is PreK Right for Me? FCC Providers in PreK Share Their Experiences

Start here to learn the basics about PreK in Maryland. Join us for an inside look at what it takes for FCC providers to offer PreK. We’ll start with an overview of the new pathways available through House Bill 1441, which opens doors for more providers to participate in PreK. You’ll get insights into the key requirements, including Maryland EXCELS standards, the application process, and the steps for managing a PreK grant. We’ll also cover MSDE’s expectations for high-quality PreK programs and what makes a successful setup. Then, hear firsthand from our panel of providers who have already made the transition to PreK. They’ll share their day-to-day experiences, the rewards and challenges, and what’s changed in their practice since joining PreK. This session is perfect if you’re curious about the commitment and opportunities involved in bringing PreK into your program.

Webinar 2: Discover ASPIRE: How It Enhances FCC PreK Programs

Once you've learned the basics about participating in PreK in Webinar 1 above,* you'll be ready to hear about how the ASPIRE program provides FCC providers with the resources and support needed to thrive in PreK. In this session, you’ll get an overview of our specialized coaching program, designed to guide providers as they build high-quality, MSDE-aligned PreK environments. We’ll also dive into our comprehensive grant management process, which streamlines paperwork and funding logistics so providers can focus on what matters most—the children. Hear directly from ASPIRE educators about how the program’s guidance, coaching, and resources have made a difference in their PreK journey.
