For Educators

Thinking about adding PreK to your family child care program?

Attending an information session is the first step in the ASPIRE application process, and it's worth your time even if you're still just exploring the idea. Here's what our webinar PreK in Maryland: What the State Requires and How ASPIRE Can Help will cover.

In 90 minutes, we'll walk through:

  • What Maryland requires of family child care providers to participate in publicly funded PreK

  • What ASPIRE brings to the table:

    • A professional community of family child care educators committed to delivering high-quality PreK.

    • Ongoing professional development that continues for as long as you're part of the network.

    • Specialized coaching to build a high-quality, MSDE-aligned PreK environment.

    • Grant administration that handles the funding paperwork, so your time goes to the children.

  • How to apply to ASPIRE, our four-step process and what's involved in each step.

  • Questions to ask yourself to decide whether ASPIRE is the right fit for your program.

Current ASPIRE educators will join us to share what the work actually looks like day to day, and to answer your questions.

The goal of our webinar is so that you leave knowing what's required, what's involved, and whether this is a path you want to take.

In the fall of 2026, ASPIRE will support over 100 FCC educators providing publicly funded PreK in 17 counties and Baltimore City.

Registration is required. All sessions cover the same information but you are welcome to attend multiple sessions if you miss something the first time.
