Machelle Johnson

Hello! My name is Machelle Johnson, Licenced child care provider in Baltimore county, Maryland. I have a bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Science and a Masters equivalency in Special Education. I have well over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages and diversities. My experience includes the pleasures of working in Pre-k programs, foster care tutoring and mentoring programs, worked in programs for children with special needs (Autism), and level five institutions for children with serious behavioral concerns and learning disabilities. I chose to work work in ECE to give children the opportunity to be prepared for entering school for the first time and their lifelong educational experiences. My philosophy and goals for children in my care is to provide an ideal environment for learning, using all method of instruction to meet their personal goals and challenges. It is important that our children are safe, have clean environments to learn, and have the nutrition that ensures fueled days of optimal learning. We assess to find each child's ability and skill sets to build upon to meet students where they are academically. Individually and as a unit. I take pride in the ability to give our students a strong academic foundation, from a quality early childhood education.
