Bio

My name is Patricia Richie, and I am the proud owner of Patty’s Little Angels Creative Learning Childcare. With more than 22 years of experience as a licensed childcare provider, I have dedicated my life to creating a nurturing, supportive environment where young children can grow, thrive, and reach their fullest potential.

I chose this path because I truly believe that the early years are the foundation of a child’s lifelong learning journey. There is no greater reward than seeing the spark in a child’s eyes as they discover something new—and knowing I’ve played a role in that moment. This fall, I will begin pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education to further strengthen my knowledge and elevate the care I provide.

As a proud participant in the Aspire Program, I offer a high-quality, state-supported pre-K program based on the Creative Curriculum—a comprehensive, research-based framework aligned with Maryland Early Learning Standards. This curriculum enables me to provide individualized, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support growth in all key domains: language and literacy, math, science, social-emotional skills, and physical development.

My philosophy of education is centered on the belief that every child can learn and succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and environment. At Patty’s Little Angels, children are supported through hands-on, play-based learning that fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence. I focus on meeting each child where they are and guiding them at their own pace to ensure success and a love for learning.

My goals for the children in my care are to nurture essential early skills in literacy and numeracy, foster emotional awareness and resilience, and support the development of critical thinking and problem-solving. I believe that strong partnerships with families are key to a child’s success, and I prioritize consistent, open communication. When families and providers work together, children benefit from a united circle of love and support.
