Marla Houston

I have dedicated the last 15 years to working with children and am proud to offer public Pre-K through the ASPIRE program. Before COVID-19, I served as the Director and co-owner of “Go Tell It Early Learning Center,” where I gained extensive experience in designing and leading early childhood programs that support the growth and development of young learners. My experience also includes over 20 years of experience as a foster/adoptive parent, which has given me a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and needs of children and families.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Prince George’s Community College. Additionally, I am certified in CPR and First Aid. My passion for early childhood education comes from my love of helping children learn, grow, and unlock their full potential. I believe that children thrive best through play, exploration, and the development of meaningful relationships. I am committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

Through my work, I strive to help children build confidence, develop critical social-emotional skills, and be well-prepared for kindergarten and beyond. It is truly a privilege to be part of their early learning experiences, and I feel incredibly fortunate to play a role in shaping their futures!
