Bio
BIO
Lindelia Yaneth Ventura de Aranivar.
I am an early childhood educator with a background in Computer Science. Originally from El Salvador, I moved to the U.S. 12 years ago and discovered my passion for education. I have experience as a preschool teacher, hold a Bilingual Preschool CDA, and run my own family childcare business. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Early Childhood Education at the University of Notre Dame of Maryland. I participate in the PreK Expansion program, hold a Level 5 QRIS rating, and am nationally accredited by the NAFCC. As a mentor with LCAM, I support other providers, and I am honored to be part of the Bainum Family Foundation's WeVision EarlyEd Solutions Lab Sites. Mother of three, I am deeply committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive space where all children can play learn and Grow Together.
PHILOSOPHY
ABC’s CHILDTIME is dedicated to providing a safe, active, and enriching environment for children of all abilities. We welcome all children including children with disabilities. We strive to create a feeling of caring, cooperation, and self-worth so children can safely explore and grow as unique individuals.
We encourage children to interact with their peers and with caring adults in an environment where activities are provided that meet the needs of individual children, are age appropriate, and match the skill level and interests of the children. We also include learning activities about the culture of each family in our program. We offer parents the opportunity to bring items related to their culture to incorporate them into the environment of our program, such as crafts, typical costumes from their countries, etc. At the same time in our library children find books in their languages and read or listen to music according to their maternal language, we celebrate the international day in which families can share with other family of the childcare the typical meals of their countries. We offer a balance of child-initiated, and provider-directed activities reflecting the interests of children.
We encourage close interaction between our families and program providers, as an open relationship between caregivers and parents will ensure the success of each child’s experience in our program. We welcome and invite all members of the families into our program. Every member of our program, staff, parents, and children has the opportunity to participate in planning the programs and activities that fill the unique needs of everyone involved.
