Brittany Truitt

I have over 20 years of experience with preschool aged children. I've worked as a summer camp counselor, nanny, and substitute teacher in both public and private schools. I have 6 children of my own. I fell in love with early childhood education while completing my student teaching field experience while earning my Bachelors degree. It led me to open my own preschool at home and go on to earn a Masters degree in ECE.

I believe in meeting children where they are and scaffolding their learning around their interests. The best way to learn is through play among their friends. Before we can teach academics, we must first teach social and emotional skills along with good manners and independence.

The goals in my program are to have children a step ahead of being ready for kindergarten. They will be prepared to learn alongside their peers respectively and effectively. My students leave my program knowing how to make healthy friendships and are able to focus when it's important.
