We are a large family childcare licensed for 12 children. Ms. Heather Churchey is the Assistant Director/Lead Teacher. 2025-2026 will be our 3rd year in the ASPIRE Public PreK Grant Program and our 10th year together as a teaching team.
Ms. Susan's degree is in Business Administration and she returned to school to obtain her preschool director's license and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Towson University. Ms. Heather has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is in pursuit of her Bachelor's Degree.
We were voted a Finalist in The 2024 Frederick News Post's Best of the Best Category for Child Care Centers. We came in second place between two large centers with multiple locations.
Most importantly, we strongly believe in the power of our inquiry-based, child-centered environment. We provide a balance of play based and developmentally appropriate learning experiences all designed for each child's individual needs. Each daily lesson is created to meet The Maryland Early Learning Standards for Pre-K. We also model explicit teaching of self-regulation and other social-emotional standards.
