Kamil Heard

I am Kamil Heard, a dedicated wife and mother of two residing in Prince George’s County, Maryland. With over fifteen years of experience as a licensed Family Child Care Provider and Educator, I am currently a three-year ASPIRE PreK Educator. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Pedology (Child Studies) and am a National Accredited Family Child Care Provider through NAFCC, having achieved Maryland Excels Level 5. I am proud to display three Maryland Excels Achievement Badges: including Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood, Judy Center Partner, and Accredited Program.

I have always had a love and passion for working with children and helping them reach their fullest potential. After tutoring a few elementary children with reading difficulties, I recognized the need to provide educational support during the critical birth to five-year-old period. This led me to pursue a career in child care, where I can help families build their children’s foundations and foster their development.
I am committed to providing high-quality childcare and fostering a positive learning environment for each child in my care. I am dedicated to assisting children in meeting the essential developmental milestones necessary for their growth and well-being.
My goal is on the whole child-to assist children with personal, social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development while promoting school readiness; and inclusion of children with special needs. In addition I help children develop character and conduct with the hope of developing responsible, accountable, respectful and productive citizens.
