Melissa Gaither

Hello, my name is Mary Melissa Gaither, and I’m proud to be an Army brat who’s called many places home, but I’ve chosen to settle in Baltimore County. It was here in 1994 that I met my wonderful husband, and together, we’ve raised our 29-year-old son. Two energetic dogs, along with a mischievous cat, round out our little family.
In 2000, I took a leap and started my in-home daycare, an incredibly rewarding decision. Before that, I worked as a certified nanny, gaining valuable experience in child care and development. As an Early Childhood Educator, my goal is simple: to help parents raise happy, healthy children. I believe in providing children with opportunities to explore, discover, and grow with confidence. There’s no greater reward than seeing their smiles as they take on new challenges and build self-assurance.
When I'm not caring for little ones, you can usually find me outside—whether I’m gardening, enjoying the fresh air with my dogs, or losing myself in a good book. I love music, and there's no way I could pick just one favorite song; it depends on the mood! And when it comes to food, ice cream is always a winner in my book.
