Bio
My name is Pamela Funderburk and I am an Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience. I've worked with children in every stage, from infancy to school aged. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. I am a level five in the Maryland Excel program and a level six in the Maryland State Credential program. I am passionate about providing young learners with a strong foundation for their academic and social development.
My decision to work in Early Childhood Education came from my belief in the transformative power of early learning. I wanted to create an environment where children could feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them. I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning by engaging children in hands-on activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
My philosophy of education centers on the idea that children learn best when they are encouraged to actively participate in their own learning process. I believe in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports each child's unique abilities and interests. I also focus on building strong relationships with both children and their families to ensure a holistic approach to development.
My primary goal for the children in my care is to support their social, emotional, and intellectual growth. I strive to provide an environment where children can develop self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and a sense of responsibility. I aim to inspire them to become lifelong learners and compassionate individuals who value themselves and others.
